Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976 in Beaumont Puy De Domme. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both dentists, and a school teacher, supported and encouraged her early love for drama and theatre. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was surpassed by her desire to further study drama and theatre. In her early years the rise to fame was swift and accompanied by early achievement. Following her studies in 1998 she participated in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers with the support of Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning the journey to become an actor. Tautou went to The Institut Catholique de Paris, and was a member of the church when she was a young girl. In the past, she's moved away from her religious background. Tautou claims to be not legally Catholic. In addition to acting, she did modeling, and was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Additionally, she is a keen photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on the spotlight and celebrities and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her after her meteoric fame with Amelie as well as self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first major role starring in the role of the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box office success and was acclaimed during awards ceremonies around the globe. The movie is the highest-grossing French film on the market in US. After this huge success, Tautou went on to appear in several films, including British dramas, like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
